Philadelphia.
The “Cameroonian Association of Philadelphia“ (ACPE) was created in 2005 and became a 501 (c) ( 3 ) non-profit organization on August 9 , 2006 with cultural, educational, and social purposes. Our mission is to foster awareness of the richness of Cameroon’s heritage and the contribution and impact of migrants from Cameroon to the American life and around the world . To achieve this mission, it is vital to create a community center for the continuous wellness of Cameroonians and others in Philadelphia .
01
The primary purpose of our cultural center is to teach the community about the Cameroonian culture using events, festivals, and workshops.
02
The presence of cultural resources is always associated with higher measures of other dimensions of social wellbeing, such as child welfare, personal health, education and security outcomes . We strongly believe that the neighborhood will better itself with the center and its positive effects will impact the Philadelphia community.
